Last updated: [date]. These terms are between you and Silvawheel Digital Services Ltd (RC [number]), which operates TaxTrail.
1. What TaxTrail is — and isn't
TaxTrail is a bookkeeping and tax-preparation tool. It computes figures from the data you provide using the rates and rules in its Tax Parameters. It does not file returns, give tax, legal or financial advice, or act as your tax agent. Under the Nigeria Tax Administration Act 2025 returns are filed by the taxpayer or an accredited tax agent. Check every figure before relying on it.
2. Your account
Keep your sign-in private; turn on two-factor sign-in if you hold client data. You're responsible for everyone you invite to a business and what they do there.
3. Your data
You own the data you put in. You give us permission to store and process it to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you upload data about other people (employees, customers), you confirm you're allowed to.
4. Paid plans
Paid plans are bought per business: Starter ₦10,000, Business ₦25,000 and Growth ₦50,000 a month, and Practice ₦25,000 a month for each client business (3 or more per payment), or as shown at checkout. Yearly billing charges 10 months for 12. Payment is through Paystack, and a plan does not renew automatically. Paying again for the same plan adds the new period to the time left; changing plan starts the new plan on the day of payment and converts the unused days of the old plan into days of the new one at its price. 5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no unlawful data, no attempts to access other businesses, no automated scraping or load that harms other users.
6. Availability and changes
We aim for the service to be available at all times but can't promise it. Tax rates and rules change; we update the defaults, and your accountant can override them. We may change these terms with notice in the app.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for penalties, interest, tax assessed or losses arising from figures you or your advisers relied on without checking, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. [Review with counsel.]
8. Ending
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. [Dispute resolution clause.]
